I'm sorry I wasn't there when they took your heart You've got to hang in there, this was just our start I want to run on rooftops and dive off buildings with you I promise I'll find Hush I'd destroy myself for you By product of circumstance, it’s our burden to share A common enemy, there's no shame in being scared I want to run on rooftops and dive off buildings with you I promise I'll find Hush I'd destroy myself for you But if you hurt me then I’ll hurt you back It’s a routine, we'll learn to adapt We can survive with our limbs in tact Oh, let’s escape from what we attract

I hesitate but it's still too late You're pulling me in I need somebody to be weak with me and you're pulling me in I've got an endless itch to scratch on my back Why can't I think anymore? Avoiding my confliction, it's an easy prediction Now I can't sleep anymore There's no reprieve, I choose to be naive You're pulling me in Don't tell a soul. No one needs to know that you're pulling me in I've got an endless itch to scratch on my back Why can't I think anymore? Avoiding my confliction, it's an easy prediction Now I can't sleep anymore Get me out I don’t want to see how this’ll turn out

Broken bones and broken hearts Didn’t let you rip us apart We were better off on our own Now we’re better off than you Paid no mind to play that part Condemned to be free just like Sartre We were better off on our own Now we’re better off than you Crashed and burned, but soon we learned Satisfaction gained when you don't yearn We were better off on our own Now we’re better off than you We didn’t need you.
4.
Flying away, on a jet back to the east. Wasting the day, ripping dreams up by the piece. Pretzels and plastic cups, anxious beggar’s feast Famished, fatigued. I’m a burden to, I’m a burden to this beast. It’s cold outside, I don’t want to go out tonight. Nowhere to hide, I’m stuck in an armrest fight. Wage indentured servant, still one of the least. Unshackled, return. I’m a burden to, I’m a burden to this beast.

about

In the summer of 2013 before we were even close to being able to play shows, we decided it'd be a good idea to try to record a few songs to see what we actually sounded like. We voted on our 4 favorites and went to our friend Chris at Black in Bluhm to help us out. We spent about two days there and this demo is the result. Feel free to download these songs for free if you like them. We've also got a few cassettes left (Mike made 50) that you can pick up from us at a show for 3 bucks.
